The Liberation of Sita is a feminist retelling of the Ramayana. After being abandoned by Rama, Sita undertakes a journey of self-discovery and encounters Surpanakha, Renuka, Urmila and Ahalya, whose experiences challenge conventional ideas about marriage, beauty, chastity, motherhood and women's roles. The stories reinterpret the epic from women's perspectives and emphasize freedom, self-realization, solidarity and resistance to patriarchy.
